Eduards Pavuls
Edward Pavuls was born July 7, 1929, in the family of Karlis Pavuls and his wife Anna. Parents met during the First world war. The family lived in difficult conditions, the father had to work in different places: he was a firefighter, a fisherman, worked on doubelday the sawmill. Childhood Edward was held in Jurmala. Like any boy of post-war seaside town, dreamed of a career sailor. In 1949 he graduated from the theatrical Studio at the Artistic academic theatre of them. J. Rainis. From 1950 to 1985 Edward Pavuls was the leading actor of the theater. J. Rainis. In 1953 there was staged the play "Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare in which Pavuls received her first lead role — Romeo. The role of Juliet was performed by Vija Artmane. In 1957, Eduard Pavuls debuted in the film, the first film with his participation "After the storm". In the same year, Pavuls gets the lead role in the film "the Son of a fisherman." Directed by Varis Brasla in 1996 he made the documentary "Kā tev klājas, Eidi?" (How to live, "adey?"), devoted to the work of E. Pavula. Edward Pavuls died 14 July 2006 in Riga at the age of 77 years.
