Carlos Santana

The father, Carlos Santana, was a violinist of the mariachi, the young Charles initially learned to play the violin, but switched to the guitar when he was 8 years old. After that, the family moved to Tijuana, Santana began playing in nightclubs and bars. It was in Tijuana when his family decided to move to san Francisco, in the United States, but soon joined them. In 1966, he helped to form the Santana Blues Band", a name later shortened to Santana. The band began to play at the Fillmore West Auditorium, where many of the great bands of san Francisco began. The first recording of Santana was The Live Adventures of Mike Bloomfield and Al Kooper, com Al Kooper e Mike Bloomfield.
