Agnès Jaoui
Student gifted, Agnès Jaoui made hypokhâgne at the lycée Henri IV and entered the
Conservatory at the age of 17 years. It follows, from 1984, the course at the
the théâtre des Amandiers in Nanterre, directed by Patrice Chéreau. Already appeared in film in The Falcon (1983, Paul Boujenah), she turns her second film with the entire cast of the Patrice Chéreau and under the direction of it in Hotel de France in 1987. That same year, playing on the planks of The Birthday of Harold Pinter, she met her future partner and collaborator, working with Jean-Pierre Bacri.
They write a first track together titled Kitchen and addictions (1992, Philippe Muyl)
whose success in the theatre, then the cinema, to encourage them in this
way of dry humor and wry. The general public discovers them
really in 1996 with the adaptation by Cédric Klapisch their second piece, An air of family.
We speak of the style Bacri-Jaoui and the film was awarded the Cesar
the Best-case scenario. But the actress Agnès Jaoui is also
distinguished thanks to his nomination for the César for Best supporting role
